Wireless 802.11g Performance Enhancement Solution
WX-6800 is a Wireless 11g Multi-Function Access Point from SparkLAN with performance enhancement. WX-6800 is fully compatible with all other 802.11 devices operating in 2.4GHz frequency band. Unlike other speed enhancing technologies, WX-6800 provides greater throughput by up to 40% than the typical 802.11g without impacting the performance of other WLAN devices around the same area due to its advanced Turbo-G Afterburner setting. It is more desirable for large file download, video conferencing, and multi-media transmissions. Differ from other access points, SparkLAN WX-6800 also supports wireless link between AP’s known as the Wireless Distribution System (WDS). In other words, with the WDS functionality, Access Points can talk to one another in Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multi-Point fashion via a configurable wireless link. The new WX-6800 can also be configured to AP-Client Mode. Other than 128-bits WEP Encryption, Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) is included for more dynamic data packet protection. It also allows VPN pass through. Therefore, with SparkLAN WX-6800, you can extend your wireless network coverage area and enjoy more secured wireless communications.
